Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Stilo ST6 FN Composite legal for MSNZ and Motorsport Australia circuit events?

Yes. The ST6 FN Composite is dual certified to FIA 8859-2024 and Snell SA2025, accepted by both Motorsport New Zealand and Motorsport Australia for circuit and open cockpit categories from club through to national level. Top-level single-seater categories (TRS, FROC, F1–F3) require FIA 8860 — see the ST6 FN 8860 Carbon. Always verify your specific series regulations before purchasing.

What is the difference between the ST6 FN Composite and the ST6 FN Carbon?

Both helmets are FIA 8859-2024 and Snell SA2025 certified with clean sides and factory HANS posts. The Carbon uses an ultra-lightweight carbon fibre shell for maximum weight saving. The Composite is the more accessible price point with a composite shell.

Can I add communications to the ST6 FN Composite?

Yes. The ST6 FN Composite has no integrated electronics but is compatible with aftermarket noise-cancelling comms fitment. Rex Harris — ACMA/RSM certified radio engineer — can fit and configure a communications system at Harris Race Radios. Contact us to discuss your comms requirements →

Does the ST6 FN Composite include HANS posts?

Yes — factory-fitted FHR / HANS posts are included as standard on the ST6 FN Composite.

How do I choose the right size?

Measure the widest circumference of your head above the ears in centimetres. When in doubt, size down — racing helmets should fit firmly with no movement. Aaron Harris is an MSNZ Licence Examiner for helmets and can advise on correct fit. Contact us →
