FIA or SFI: which Hybrid suits your racing?
Simpson Hybrid devices are available with FIA or SFI certification, depending on the model, the racing you do and your preference. FIA certification does not have a scheduled recertification expiry, while SFI-certified devices require recertification every five years. Harris Race Radios™ can arrange SFI recertification. Check the label on the exact device and the current rules of your NZ or Australian category and event; certification alone does not guarantee event acceptance or that a damaged device remains safe to use.
Check your helmet tethers
Inspect tethers regularly, especially after a crash. Replace any that are damaged or stretched; Harris Race Radios™ carries replacement tethers. Check the correct tether and helmet compatibility for your particular Hybrid device and follow the manufacturer's instructions.
