Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the ST6 FN Carbon and the ST6 FN Carbon ABP?

The ST6 FN Carbon is certified to FIA 8859-2024 (no ABP). The ST6 FN Carbon ABP adds Advanced Ballistics Protection — a reinforced extended forehead zone recommended for open wheel categories where debris exposure is higher, such as Formula Ford and Formula 4. If your series mandates ABP, see the ST6 FN Carbon ABP.

Is this helmet legal for circuit racing in NZ and Australia?

Yes. FIA 8859-2024 and Snell SA2025 are accepted at all levels of circuit, open cockpit, and track day competition in NZ and AU. Always verify your specific event regulations before purchasing.

Does this helmet have built-in electronics or intercom?

No. The ST6 FN Carbon has no integrated electronics or side ports. Internal channels allow for optional intercom and drink tube retrofit. The helmet is compatible with Stilo's EzyFlow audio connector system. Contact Harris Race Radios for compatible electronics options.

Does this helmet include HANS posts?

Yes — factory-fitted FHR / HANS posts are included as standard.

How much does the ST6 FN Carbon weigh?

Starting from 1,180g for the small shell — one of the lightest helmets in its class, and up to 10% lighter than the previous ST5 FN Carbon model.

How do I choose the right size?

Measure the widest circumference of your head above the ears in centimetres. When in doubt, size down. Aaron Harris is an MSNZ Licence Examiner for helmets and can advise on correct fit. Contact us →
