Motorsport installation guidance

Mount the extinguisher where the driver can reach it quickly when restrained in the normal driving position, while keeping it protected from impact and away from moving controls. Use the supplied straps and a suitably strong mounting point. Check the bracket, straps, pin and gauge regularly, and have the unit serviced or replaced to its manufacturer’s instructions.

Before an event, confirm the extinguisher capacity, type, mounting position and service requirements with the applicable championship regulations and scrutineer. Requirements differ between disciplines and classes.
