Welcome to the Harris Race Radios Helmet Knowledge Centre, a practical guide to selecting a motorsport helmet for New Zealand and Australian events. We race in helmets, match them to radio and intercom systems, and help competitors understand the equipment listed for their discipline. Start with the helmet's actual homologation label and your current category and event rules.
Our team includes Aaron Harris, an active racing driver, race engineer and MotorSport NZ Licence Examiner, and Rex Harris, a qualified Radio Telecommunications Engineer and Approved Radio Certifier for NZ RSM and AU ACMA. Aaron's licence-examiner role concerns licences, not certification of helmets, racewear or FHR devices. Rex's approval role concerns radios, not safety equipment.
