Helmet Tear-Offs

Tear-offs are thin, clear strips of plastic film that are attached to the visors of drivers’ helmets. They help to improve visibility and driver safety during a race by preventing debris from obstructing the driver’s view. Most motorcycle helmets also have tear-off posts built into them. Tear-offs are thin sheets of clear plastic that are peeled off the outside of the helmet's shield to keep it clear. The helmet tear off is a die-cut plastic sheet that is placed over the helmet’s visor and can be quickly torn off to provide a clear view after dirt and mud accumulation during the race has covered the visor and obstructed the racer’s view.
