NitroBee Receiver Operating Guide — NZ Speedway & Local Presets
This operating guide covers the NitroBee configuration supplied by Harris Race Radios™. Our supplied version differs from the US-market model, so use these local instructions and channel presets rather than assuming US specifications or programming instructions apply.

Hear Race Control clearly
One-way Race Control audio helps drivers hear instructions and respond to changing track conditions. Charge the receiver, check the event channel and test the helmet audio before going on track. A receiver is for listening, not talking back to Race Control or your crew.
Helmet speakers or earpieces must match the receiver connection and sit correctly for clear listening. Secure the receiver in a suitable holder or bag and route its lead away from moving parts and snag points to help prevent disconnection, equipment loss and distraction.

Power and menu button
To power on, press and hold the power/menu button

To power off, press and hold the power/menu button , then briefly press the lock button 
when prompted.
Adjusting the volume
Briefly press + to raise the volume or − to lower it.
Programmed channel presets
The local configuration described in this guide uses the following presets. Confirm that your supplied receiver has this programming and that the selected channel matches the event instructions.
- Channel 1: NZ Speedway
- Channel 2: AUS Speedway
- Channel 3: MSNZ
- Channel 4: GT Club

Rechargeable battery
The NitroBee uses an internal, fast-charge lithium-ion (Li-ion) rechargeable battery. Charge it before use with the included USB-C charge cable. The battery indicator LED illuminates red while charging and green when fully charged. From fully depleted, allow approximately 2.5 hours to reach full charge.
Pre-race checks and fault-finding
- Fully charge the receiver and check its battery indication.
- Confirm the event channel and the programming supplied with your receiver.
- Make sure the helmet speaker or earpiece plug is fully seated and the lead is undamaged.
- Check audio and volume with the helmet and listening equipment you will actually use.
- Secure the receiver and leave enough cable movement for normal head movement without snagging.
If audio is missing or unclear, check the selected channel, charge level, plug connection, listening equipment and volume first. If the problem continues, tell us your receiver configuration, helmet audio connection and event so we can help narrow down the fault.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Harris-supplied NitroBee the same as the US-market model?
No. Harris Race Radios™ supplies a local configuration that differs from the US-market model. Use the instructions and programming advice for the receiver supplied to you rather than assuming US-model specifications apply.
Can I talk back to Race Control with this receiver?
No. This is a one-way receiver for listening to Race Control, not a two-way driver-to-crew radio system.
What are the channel presets in this guide?
The configuration described here uses Channel 1 for NZ Speedway, Channel 2 for AUS Speedway, Channel 3 for MSNZ and Channel 4 for GT Club. Confirm your receiver programming and the event channel before racing.
How long does charging take?
From fully depleted, allow approximately 2.5 hours to reach full charge using the USB-C charge cable. The battery indicator is red while charging and green when fully charged.
Do these instructions replace the Australian Classic Sports Car guide?
No. The Australian Classic Sports Car setup has its own operating guide and channel assignments. Follow the guide for your supplied configuration.
