Choosing a seat and mounting setup
- Driver fit: Compare standard and XL shells for secure hip and shoulder support without restricting control.
- Seat label: Check the exact seat's FIA or other applicable homologation, date and physical label against your category and event requirements. Do not assume every seat has the same standard.
- Brackets and hardware: Check the seat, vehicle and mounting instructions for compatible parts and installation. Brackets are not automatically covered by a seat's homologation.
- Harness and FHR: Check belt routing and seat, helmet and head-and-neck restraint clearance together for the exact driver setup.
Requirements can vary by series and change over time. Confirm final eligibility and installation requirements with your event organiser or scrutineer.
