Chillout Genesis Driver Cooler

The Chillout Genesis is a compressor-driven liquid-cooling system for motorsport driver installations. Its listed cooling capacity is up to 525 W, with a carbon-fibre housing, low-profile mounting arrangement and cockpit-mounted wired controller.

Use Genesis with a compatible cooling garment and correctly matched hose connections. Cooling performance depends on ambient temperature, airflow, coolant flow and driver heat load; the rating is not a guarantee of a particular core body temperature.

The internal pump’s 24 V rating does not establish the required vehicle supply voltage. Confirm the complete system’s current wiring and power-inverter instructions before installation. The pump-flow figure is a maximum specification, not a guaranteed flow through a connected garment.

Mounting, airflow and driver connections

Plan secure mounting, an appropriate air supply and a clear path for discharged heat. Allow access for service, the controller and coolant connections. Route wiring and hoses away from controls, harnesses and the driver’s exit path. Confirm the supplied blower’s ducting arrangement rather than applying Quantum installation specifications to Genesis.

Compare the FIA/SFI Pro Touring cooling shirt and SFI Pro Touring Sport shirt according to your required garment rating. Match insulated hoses and garment connectors to the actual system connections. Do not assume universal compatibility with every cooling garment.

Follow current manufacturer instructions for coolant, commissioning, cleaning, inspection and storage. Self-priming does not remove the need to fill and commission the system correctly.
