AiM LCU-One S Wideband Lambda Controller
The AiM LCU-One S is a wideband lambda controller for monitoring air/fuel ratio information in compatible motorsport and performance-engine applications. It uses a Bosch LSU 4.9 wideband sensor and sends the measured lambda data to a compatible AiM dash or data logger.
This is a measurement and controller module, not a standalone dash or data logger. The correct AiM master device, wiring, sensor position, exhaust temperature, fuel type, and configuration all matter to the installation.
Air/fuel measurement for setup and analysis

- Lambda range from 0.65 to 1.6 as specified for the controller.
- Configurable stoichiometric ratio for supported petrol, diesel, and alternative-fuel applications.
- Compatible AiM integration so lambda information can be displayed or recorded by the connected master device.
Lambda values below one generally indicate a richer mixture and values above one generally indicate a leaner mixture. Interpret the result in the context of the engine, fuel, calibration, exhaust system, sensor position, and the complete AiM configuration.

Compatible AiM systems
The LCU-One S can be connected to compatible AiM dash and logger systems, including supported MXL2, MXG, MXP, MXS, Solo 2 DL, EVO4S, and EVO5 applications. Confirm the exact device, firmware, harness, and connection method before ordering.

Lambda sensor installation
Install the lambda sensor where it can measure a representative exhaust-gas mixture while staying within the maximum permissible temperature. Sensor position and exhaust condition directly affect the usefulness and life of the measurement.
- Install where the exhaust gas is hot enough for representative measurement, without exceeding the sensor's permitted temperature.
- Where possible, install the sensor vertically with the wiring upward.
- Keep the sensor away from the exhaust outlet so outside-air influence is reduced.
- Ensure the exhaust passage is free from leaks near the sensor to avoid leak-air effects.
- Protect the sensor from condensation water.
- Do not paint, wax, or otherwise coat the sensor.
- Use only the recommended grease for the sensor thread.
- Confirm the installation is protected from impact and contact with the vehicle or track environment.

Race Studio 3 workflow
Race Studio 3 is used with compatible AiM master devices to configure channels, display pages, maths channels, data downloads, and analysis. The LCU-One S supplies the lambda information; the connected AiM logger or dash determines how that information is displayed, recorded, and analysed.
