AiM GPS 09 Module

The AiM GPS 09 is an external GPS module for compatible AiM dash loggers, data loggers, and SmartyCam systems. It adds GPS-based lap timing, split times, speed, vehicle positioning, and GPS-derived motion data without relying on a trackside beacon.

Choose the correct version for the installation: Car or Bike, or Roof version. The module connects through a CAN cable, making it a practical addition when the compatible AiM system requires an external GPS source.

Compatibility matters. Confirm the logger, dash, cable, and SmartyCam setup before ordering. Solo 2/Solo 2 DL, MXm, and MyChron 5 use internal GPS functions and do not use this external GPS module.

Compatible AiM systems

The GPS 09 is intended for compatible latest-generation AiM systems, including supported MXL2, MXG, MXP, MXS, EVO4S, EVO5, and SmartyCam HD GP 2.2 applications. Confirm the exact device, cable, firmware, and installation before purchase.

The GPS 09 is not backwards-compatible with the first-generation MXL, EVO3, or MyChron4. SmartyCam HD, SmartyCam HD GP, and SmartyCam HD 2.1 require the appropriate AiM SmartyCam/GPS Data Hub to connect through the relevant GPS port.
