Choose your helmet communications

1. No Comms: bare helmet

No fitted speakers, microphone or communications lead. Choose this option when you want the helmet without added audio.

2. 3.5 mm Receive-Only: one-way receiver audio

Fitted helmet speakers with a 3.5 mm receiver connection for compatible speedway and other one-way race-control receivers. This option is listening only: it does not include a microphone or two-way talk-back. Match mono/stereo wiring to the exact receiver; a 3.5 mm plug alone does not guarantee compatibility.

3. Full Two-Way Comms: radio and intercom audio

Fitted microphone, speakers and communications lead matched to a suitable two-way radio or intercom, including off-road driver/co-driver and crew systems. Confirm the radio or intercom model, microphone requirements, pinout and connector before fitting.

These choices configure the helmet audio. A receiver, two-way radio, vehicle intercom, pumper and connecting vehicle equipment are not included. Correct fit and permitted communications for your class remain essential.

The Pyrotect Pro Air MFA is the SA2025 composite Pro Air Vortex helmet in flat black, with a mid forced-air connection and duckbill profile. This listing covers S, M and L, manufacturer parts HB946225, HB946325 and HB946425.

This is the composite HB946 helmet, not the carbon HC705 MFA or the older SA2020 wired MIDAIR. Choose No Comms, 3.5 mm Receive-Only or Full Two-Way Comms using the selector above. The selected audio configuration determines the fitted equipment.

Is this the carbon MFA model?

No. This is the flat-black HB946 composite helmet. The HC705 12K carbon MFA has a separate listing.

Does it include fitted communications?

Choose one of three configurations: No Comms for the bare helmet without fitted communications; 3.5 mm Receive-Only for helmet speakers and a receiver lead for compatible one-way systems; or Full Two-Way Comms for microphone, speakers and a matched radio/intercom connection. Confirm the exact equipment and connector before fitting. Radios, receivers and vehicle intercoms are not included.

Is SA2025 accepted for every event?
