Built for rally, circuit and off-road competitors who need forced-air performance, cockpit clearance and integrated helmet communications. The Impact Carbon Fiber OS20 RACE Offset Air Helmet combines a carbon-fibre shell with a left-positioned 20° air inlet and a wired Rugged Radios helmet kit. It is supplied by Harris Race Radios for drivers in New Zealand and Australia.
Who is the Impact OS20 RACE for?
This helmet is a strong fit for drivers competing in rally, circuit racing, endurance, speedway or off-road events where a centred top-air inlet could conflict with a roll cage, roof bar or low cockpit. The wired helmet kit is designed for racers who want a ready-to-integrate communications setup, subject to connector and intercom compatibility.

Measure around your head approximately 25 mm above the eyebrows, passing over the point at the back of your head that gives the largest measurement. A racing helmet should fit snugly and firmly without movement; cheek pads and the liner can settle slightly with use. Helmet safety and competition requirements
Snell SA2025 is the current Snell standard identified for this helmet, but certification does not by itself guarantee eligibility for every event. MSNZ, Motorsport Australia, individual series and scrutineers can apply different standards, age limits and category requirements. Motorsport NZ guidance has recommended replacing helmets at least every seven years, but always check the current event rules, manufacturer guidance and scrutineering requirements before racing. Is the Impact OS20 RACE suitable for MSNZ and Motorsport Australia events?
The helmet is Snell SA2025 certified. Whether that certification is accepted depends on the event, category and current requirements of the controlling body. Check the current helmet schedule with Motorsport New Zealand, Motorsport Australia or your event organiser before purchasing.
What is the offset air inlet and why does it matter?
The OS20 RACE uses a left-positioned air inlet angled 20° off-centre. This can provide extra clearance around roll-cage bars and roof structures, while the air-channel position is designed to reduce airflow interference around the microphone.
What communications system does the helmet come wired for?
The helmet is wired with a Rugged Radios helmet kit. Motorsports use different jack and connector arrangements, so confirm the connector and intercom fitment for your existing radio system before ordering, especially when using a non-Rugged intercom.

How do I choose the right size?
Measure around your head approximately 25 mm above the eyebrows, passing over the largest point at the back of your head, and compare the measurement with the size table. The helmet should fit firmly without movement. Contact us before ordering if you need help confirming the fit.
How do I care for my Impact helmet?
Check the shield pivot and positioning screws before each use, tightening them until firmly seated without overtightening. After racing, dry wet cheek pads and the liner in the shade with airflow from a fan. Keep the liner, pads, straps and hardware clean, and inspect fasteners and straps regularly. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions and do not modify the helmet.
What should I do if the helmet is involved in an impact?
Do not continue racing in a helmet that has been involved in an impact, even if there is no visible damage. Helmets are designed to absorb impact energy, so contact the manufacturer or Harris Race Radios about inspection or replacement.
