The Hytera H4 to 5-pin TA5 coil cord headset cable connects a compatible Hytera radio to a matching motorsport headset connection. Product reference: QD-H4/CC. The H4 connector is distinct from H3 and H8; these are not interchangeable cable options.

Before ordering: confirm your exact radio model, accessory connector, headset pin wiring, microphone requirements and push-to-talk arrangement. A TA5 plug alone does not guarantee compatibility with every headset, helmet kit or intercom.

Practical Motorsport Applications

A correctly matched radio and headset system supports pit-crew coordination, circuit and endurance racing, driver coaching and event operations. A timely call about a fluid leak, flat tyre or loose panel can help the driver respond before a problem becomes more costly. This cable is one connection within that system, not a complete communications system.

For driver installations, match helmet audio, microphone, wiring and push-to-talk equipment to the radio. Rally and off-road driver–co-driver intercom audio is a separate function: confirm the intercom's radio interface rather than assuming a TA5 plug makes this cable suitable.

For NZ circuit racing, plan two-way pit-to-car communications together with reception of the event's one-way race-control instructions. Australia uses Race Management Channel (RMC) terminology. The exact radio configuration, frequencies and event requirements must be confirmed; this cable does not add a receiver, channel or simultaneous-monitoring capability. Competitors must not transmit on the listen-only officials' channel.

Are Hytera H4 and H8 the same connector?

No. H4 and H8 are different connectors used on different radios. The supplied chart lists H4 for PD6, HP6 and HP7 families, and H8 for BP5, P50 and P50 Pro. Confirm the exact model and physical connector before ordering.

Is this the cable for PD7 and PD9 radios?
