Top-tier custom-moulded professional motorsport earbuds

These are top-of-the-line custom-moulded professional earbuds for drivers and crews across high-noise motorsport. They are made from medical-grade materials using individual ear impressions to create a secure, comfortable fit and high-quality audio in demanding racing environments.

They are not only for Race Radio. Custom motorsport earpieces are used across Formula racing, circuit racing, GT, endurance, touring cars, rally, karting, Speedway, drifting, off-road and other motorsport where drivers and crews need clear audio and a secure in-ear fit.

The custom fit helps reduce some ambient vehicle and track noise and supports clearer listening and communication through a compatible radio, intercom, receiver or transceiver. Choose the connection and audio format that matches your system. The available configurations cover 3.5 mm (1/8-inch) Mono, 3.5 mm Stereo, RCA and Stilo connections.

Read the Race Radios™ monitoring and motorsport communications guide before choosing your connection, audio format and helmet setup.

Typical driver fitting routine

Before a session, fit the left and right custom earpieces securely in the ears. The colour coding helps identify the sides: Blue for the left ear and Red for the right ear. Once both earpieces are fitted, the driver puts on the balaclava, then the helmet, and connects the earpieces to the helmet kit.

After connecting the helmet kit to the compatible radio or intercom, the driver should complete an audio check with the team before going out. This helps confirm that both sides are seated correctly, the correct connection and audio format have been selected, and the driver can hear the team clearly through the helmet system.

Available connection options

  • 3.5 mm (1/8-inch) Mono: for compatible Mono motorsport helmet kits, blue receivers, Race Radio and transceiver systems.
  • 3.5 mm Stereo: for Nitro Bee receivers, including Nitro Bee Xtreme, and compatible Stereo helmet or intercom systems.
  • RCA: for compatible radio, intercom and communication systems using an RCA connection.
  • Stilo: for compatible Stilo helmet systems using the Stilo connector.

Confirm the radio, receiver, transceiver, intercom, helmet and required audio format before ordering. Mono and Stereo are not interchangeable without the correct equipment or adapter.

Nitro Bee and Stilo fitment

For Nitro Bee receivers, choose the 3.5 mm Stereo configuration where available. If you need to use a Mono-configured 3.5 mm earpiece with Nitro Bee Xtreme, use the 3.5mm Stereo to Mono Receiver Adapter.

Choose the Stilo connection for compatible Stilo helmet systems. If you are using standard 3.5 mm earbuds with a Stilo helmet, use the Stilo helmet-to-ear-plug adapter instead.

Custom mould process

Ask an audiologist or hearing specialist to make an ear impression only, then send the completed impression to Harris Race Radios. You can also contact us about an impression kit before ordering.

Allow approximately 4 to 6 weeks for production. Confirm the connection, audio format, colour, cable length and impression instructions before the moulding process begins.
