What is Bump Steer?
Bump steer is the involuntary change in toe angle that occurs as the suspension compresses and rebounds during cornering, braking, and acceleration. Uncorrected bump steer causes the car to dart or wander under load — making it unpredictable and slower. Measuring and correcting bump steer is one of the most important and most overlooked steps in professional race car setup.
