AiM PDM32 Power Distribution Module
The AiM PDM32 is an integrated motorsport electronics system that combines power distribution, data logging, and dash-control functions in one anodized billet-aluminium case. It is designed to simplify a race-car wiring harness while providing configurable control and data functions at the centre of the vehicle electronics system.
The PDM32 is more than a power-distribution unit. It includes a professional data logger, an internal dash controller, and an integrated nine-axis EMU platform. Optional display and GPS equipment can extend the system for driver information, lap timing, and track position.
PDM32 power distribution
- 28 high-side outputs for compatible vehicle circuits.
- Four half-bridge outputs for supported applications.
- Power control designed to replace traditional fuse and relay arrangements where the vehicle design allows it.
- Configurable control functions through the compatible AiM system and Race Studio 3.
Current demand, circuit protection, grounding, wiring, and output configuration must be engineered for the vehicle. Confirm the electrical requirements before selecting the PDM32 for a build.
Integrated data and dash functions
- 4 GB integrated data logger, reducing the need for a separate logger in a compatible installation.
- Dash controller for an optional six-inch or 10-inch display.
- ECU connection for receiving supported ECU data.
- Nine-axis EMU platform for compatible vehicle-dynamics and motion data applications.
- Optional GPS module for automatic lap timing and track position.
- Optional mirror camera function for a rear-view display while manoeuvring in the paddock, where the compatible extra equipment is fitted.
The exact data channels, ECU information, display functions, GPS features, and configuration options depend on the connected equipment, wiring, firmware, and Race Studio 3 setup.
Display and GPS options
The PDM32 can be used with an optional six-inch or 10-inch display controller setup. An optional GPS module can provide automatic lap timing and track-position data in the compatible AiM system.
For the smaller eight-channel PDM architecture, see the AiM PDM08 Power Distribution Module. The PDM08 and PDM32 are separate power-distribution systems, so confirm the required output count, half-bridge needs, logging capacity, display requirements, and wiring before choosing between them.
Race Studio 3 configuration and analysis
Race Studio 3 is used to configure compatible PDM channels, ECU protocols, data channels, display pages, alarms, maths channels, GPS track functions, and connected expansions. It is also used to download and analyse data recorded by the integrated logger.
Use the AiM Race Studio 3 Knowledge Hub for configuration and analysis guidance, and AiM Downloads & Documentation for official live software, firmware, and documentation sources.
Official AiM support videos
No dedicated PDM32 video has been confirmed in the mapped official library. These official AiM videos cover the broader device-configuration, firmware, and Race Studio workflows relevant to compatible PDM installations.

PDM32 FAQ
What does the AiM PDM32 do?
It combines motorsport power distribution, data logging, and dash-control functions in one compatible vehicle electronics system.
How many power outputs does it have?
The PDM32 is listed with 28 high-side outputs and four half-bridge outputs. Confirm current ratings, loads, protection, and wiring for the actual installation.
Does the PDM32 include a data logger?
Yes. The listing identifies an integrated 4 GB data logger, with available data depending on connected equipment, firmware, wiring, and Race Studio 3 configuration.
Can I use a display and GPS?
The PDM32 supports compatible optional six-inch or 10-inch display setups and an optional GPS module. Confirm the required equipment and configuration before ordering.
Is the PDM32 the same as the PDM08?
No. They are separate power-distribution systems. Compare output count, half-bridge requirements, logging capacity, display needs, wiring, and vehicle requirements before choosing.
Installation and support
PDM32 installation involves race-car power distribution, high-current wiring, output configuration, ECU and CAN connections, sensors, logging, dash setup, and motorsport reliability. It should be specified and installed by someone competent with race-car electrical systems.
For PDM32 system selection, output planning, half-bridge requirements, ECU integration, display setup, GPS, or Race Studio configuration in New Zealand and Australia, contact Harris Race Radios.
