AiM MX UTV GPS Dash Logger
The AiM MX UTV is a GPS dash logger designed for utility task vehicles used in racing and off-road competition. It displays compatible vehicle ECU channels and includes an infrared sensor for monitoring transmission-belt temperature.
The MX UTV combines a wide configurable display, ECU data, GPS/GLONASS lap timing, track position, internal data logging, and Wi-Fi data download. It is powered by the vehicle battery and mounts using the four silent blocks supplied on the rear of the unit.

MX UTV display and data
- Vehicle ECU channels displayed from supported applications.
- Infrared transmission-belt temperature from the sensor included with the kit. Depending on the vehicle ECU and configuration, the available temperature or pressure channel can vary.
- GPS and GLONASS data for speed, position, lateral acceleration, and time information.
- Lap timing to 1/100 second where the track and system configuration support it.
- 10 Hz GPS performance for the vehicle's racing environment.
- 4 GB internal memory for recorded session data.
- Wi-Fi data download to a computer for Race Studio analysis.
GPS track recognition and timing-point functions depend on the track being present in the MX UTV database and on the configuration used at the venue.

Supported UTV ECU applications
The current application information lists the following vehicle families and channels:
| Vehicle application | Listed channels |
|---|---|
| Polaris RZR | Speed, RPM, gear, ECT, TPS, brake switch, fuel rate |
| Polaris RZR turbo | Speed, RPM, gear, ECT, TPS, brake switch, fuel rate, boost pressure, charge-air temperature |
| Can-Am | Speed, RPM, gear, ECT, TPS, brake switch, instantaneous fuel flow |
| Can-Am turbo | Speed, RPM, gear, ECT, TPS, brake switch, instantaneous fuel consumed, boost pressure, intake-air temperature |
| Yamaha YXZ 1000R, 2016 | Speed, RPM, gear, ECT |
| Yamaha YXZ 1000R, 2017 | Speed, RPM, gear, ECT, TPS, brake switch |
| Arctic Cat Wildcat | Speed, RPM, gear, ECT, TPS, brake switch |
Confirm the exact vehicle year, ECU, wiring, sensor arrangement, and available channels before ordering. Do not assume that a later model year or a different ECU has the same data set.
Expandable UTV data system
The MX UTV can connect over CAN bus to compatible AiM expansion equipment, including:
- AiM LCU-One Lambda Controller, where the complete installation supports it
- Compatible AiM SmartyCam camera systems

Wide configurable LCD display
The wide LCD display has a configurable RGB backlight and a light sensor that can automatically switch the backlight according to ambient conditions. Two RGB alarm LEDs support configurable colours, flashing patterns, and temperature thresholds. Five configurable shift lights can show shift prompts or be used for other real-time indications supported by the setup.

The backlight can be set to on, off, or automatic, with selectable display colours where supported by the configuration.

Race Studio configuration and analysis
Race Studio is used to create, modify, import, and export configurations for channels, ECU drivers, maths channels, display pages, digital outputs, alarms, shift lights, expansions, and race tracks. Recorded MX UTV data can be downloaded to a computer and analysed using graphs, histograms, and tables.

Use the AiM Race Studio 3 Knowledge Hub for configuration, downloads, firmware, and analysis guidance. Visit AiM Downloads & Documentation for official live AiM software, firmware, and documentation sources.
Official AiM support videos
No dedicated MX UTV video has been confirmed in the mapped official library. These official AiM videos cover the broader device-configuration, data-download, and firmware workflows used with compatible AiM systems.
