Common Mistakes When Buying a HANS Device

• Buying the wrong recline angle. The Club device is 20° recline, correct for upright seating. If your car has a reclined seat, you need a different recline angle. Contact Aaron Harris to confirm before ordering.
• Forgetting helmet posts. Helmet posts are not included and must be ordered separately. Without the correct posts, the HANS device cannot be connected to your helmet.
• Buying the wrong size. Measure your collar size before ordering. The M/L fits 15”–18” and the L/XL fits above 18”. When in doubt, contact Aaron Harris.
• Assuming any FIA approval is sufficient. Some categories specify FIA 8858-2010 or FIA 8858-2022. Confirm the required standard with your club or series before purchasing.
