Key Features
- FIA 8858-2010 approved — meets the homologation standard required by MSNZ and Motorsport Australia for most club and championship categories
- Honeycomb thermoplastic construction — lightweight and cost-effective while passing full FIA test requirements
- Sliding tether system — less restrictive head movement than fixed tether designs
- Shoulder pads included — improved comfort during extended sessions
- Fitment guide included
- 20° recline — correct for saloon cars and upright seating positions
- Weight: 950g (1050g with padding and tethers)
Important: Helmet Posts Not Included
Helmet posts (also called helmet anchors or clips) are required to connect the HANS tethers to your helmet and are not included with this device. You must purchase the correct helmet posts separately. The correct posts depend on your helmet brand and model. Contact Aaron Harris to confirm which posts suit your helmet before ordering.
Common Mistakes When Buying a HANS Device
- Buying the wrong recline angle. The Club device is 20° recline, correct for upright seating. If your car has a reclined seat, you need a different recline angle. Contact Aaron Harris to confirm before ordering.
- Forgetting helmet posts. Helmet posts are not included and must be ordered separately. Without the correct posts, the HANS device cannot be connected to your helmet.
- Buying the wrong size. Measure your collar size before ordering. The M/L fits 15”–18” and the L/XL fits above 18”. When in doubt, contact Aaron Harris.
- Assuming any FIA approval is sufficient. Some categories specify FIA 8858-2010 or FIA 8858-2022. Confirm the required standard with your club or series before purchasing.
- Buying a non-FIA-approved device to save money. Non-approved devices will not pass scrutineering and may not provide the protection of a genuine FIA-approved HANS. The Stand 21 Club is the most affordable genuine FIA-approved option available.
