The Rugged Radios PRO-POD is an alternative to a regular helmet speaker kit or in-ear plugs. Its padded gel ear cups use Alpha Audio speakers to deliver clearer race communications while helping reduce the surrounding noise reaching your ears.

If you have struggled to hear your pit crew with a previous helmet-audio setup, the PRO-POD can improve speech clarity and listening comfort. The soft gel seals sit around the ears, while Velcro mounting lets you position the cups inside a compatible motorsport helmet.

Compatible audio systems

The PRO-POD is designed for compatible 3.5 mm mono or stereo audio connections. Typical applications include the Nitro Bee Extreme UHF Race Receiver with a 3.5 mm stereo socket and an off-road wired helmet kit with a compatible 3.5 mm mono socket.

Check your equipment before ordering: confirm the socket size, mono or stereo wiring, and audio compatibility of your receiver, radio or intercom. A matching 3.5 mm socket does not always guarantee that differently wired equipment will work together.

Helmet fitment

The PRO-POD fits Roux, Pyrotect, Impact, Xron and Stilo motorsport helmets. Helmet interiors, ear recesses and liner thicknesses can still vary by model, so check that there is enough room for the gel cups and Velcro mounting. Test their position carefully to maintain a secure and comfortable helmet fit; other helmet brands or models may require modification.
