The Simpson Hybrid Sport Youth is the junior version of the award-winning Simpson Hybrid FHR, designed specifically for young competitors in autograss, oval racing, karting, and junior motorsport categories. Safety-rated and sized for children aged 4–12, it gives parents peace of mind without compromising on protection.

Youth Sizes

  • X-Small Child (4–6 years) — 22–26" (56–66cm) chest
  • Child (7–9 years) — 22–26" (56–66cm) chest
  • Youth (9–12 years) — 26–30" (66–76cm) chest

  • SFI 38.1 certified (youth sizes are SFI approved only)
  • Protects during frontal, offset, and side impacts
  • Fixed (non-adjustable) sliding tethers — designed for junior use
  • DuPont carbon/polymer construction
  • Low profile — no high back to catch on the roll cage on exit
  • No special seat or harness required
  • Comfortable with 2" or 3" harness shoulder straps
  • Supplied standard with FHR post anchors
  • Approximately 800g complete

Important Notes

  • Youth sizes are SFI 38.1 approved only — not FIA 8858-2010 approved
  • Tethers are fixed (non-adjustable) unlike adult versions
  • M61 quick release can be special ordered at time of purchase — cannot be retro-fitted
  • Helmet must meet FIA 8858-2002 or FIA 8858-2010 standard or higher with HANS anchors fitted

Is the Youth FHR FIA approved?

No — all youth sizes are SFI 38.1 approved only. Check your event regulations before purchasing.

Can I add M61 quick release to the Youth FHR?

M61 quick release must be specified at time of order and cannot be retro-fitted. Contact us before purchasing if you need this option.

What size should I order for my child?

Measure your child's chest circumference: 22–26" = X-Small Child or Child (4–9 years), 26–30" = Youth (9–12 years). Contact us if unsure.
