Simpson M61 Quick-Release Helmet Anchors

These helmet-side M61 anchors are sold as a pair for a compatible quick-release FHR arrangement. They replace conventional helmet posts only when the helmet mounting provision and the device-side tethers are suitable. They are not the complete FHR device or a universal replacement for every HANS-style post.

What you receive

• Two M61 quick-release helmet anchors with yellow pull tabs, as shown in the product photos.
• Mounting bolts are listed as included with this product; confirm the hardware against your helmet and the supplied kit before fitting.

The anchors carry an FIA 8858-2010 marking in the product photos. Match that marking, the supplied hardware and your actual helmet/device configuration to current manufacturer instructions and the rules of your NZ or Australian category and event. A product listing alone does not certify an installation or guarantee event acceptance.

Before fitting or upgrading

1. Check the helmet's existing FHR anchor provision and the mounting hardware required for its shell.
2. Check that the FHR device has compatible Simpson Hybrid QR M6 tethers for the M61 anchors. The matching device-side tether set is sold separately.
3. Fit and operate the release system according to the helmet and FHR manufacturers' instructions, then check both sides of the connection before racing.

Each anchor has a yellow pull tab for its release mechanism. Do not assume one tab releases both sides at once.
