Racing Optics XStack tear offs for Schuberth helmet visors — manufactured in the USA by Racing Optics, these patented laminated tear offs deliver superior optical clarity and a clean, residue-free peel for speedway, off-road, and open-wheel circuit drivers. Used whenever a visor gets wet, muddy, stone chipped, or contaminated by anything that reduces visibility.

Because every helmet brand and model has a different visor shape, Racing Optics manufactures tear offs to specific fitment profiles — Schuberth tear offs are shaped specifically for Schuberth visors and will not fit other helmet brands. Select your helmet model from the dropdown to ensure correct fitment.

Each sleeve contains 3 stacks of 10 tear offs — 30 total. Optical-grade Mylar film laminated into stacks increases light transmission and reduces reflected light between layers for maximum visor clarity.

Key Features

  • Racing Optics XStack technology — patented laminated film system, 2 mil thick with a 10-layer tear off stack
  • 30 tear offs per sleeve — 3 stacks of 10, ideal for speedway and endurance events
  • Optical-grade Mylar film — increases light transmission and reduces reflected light between layers
  • Clean, residue-free peel — no smearing or adhesive left on the visor surface
  • Made in USA — manufactured by Racing Optics to exacting optical standards

Schuberth Helmet Compatibility

Schuberth tear offs are visor-specific. Each visor profile requires a different shaped tear off. Select your helmet model from the variant dropdown to ensure correct fitment. Not sure which variant suits your helmet? Contact Aaron Harris and we'll confirm the correct fitment.

Why Use Visor Tear Offs?

Tear offs are used in any motorsport discipline where the driver's visor becomes contaminated and visibility is compromised — mud, water, stone chips, dust, insects, or rubber debris. Rather than reaching up to wipe the visor, the driver grabs the pull tab and peels off a single layer in under a second, revealing a clean surface underneath. Most commonly used by speedway, dirt track, off-road, and open-wheel circuit drivers who are directly exposed to debris.

Tear Offs vs Roll Offs

  • Tear offs — individual film layers stacked on the visor. Each peel removes one layer instantly. Simple, lightweight, and low-profile. Best for speedway, off-road, and open-wheel events.
  • Roll offs — a continuous film on a spool mechanism. The driver winds on a fresh section using a lever or cable. Best for endurance events requiring continuous visor clearing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do tear offs only fit specific helmet models?
Every helmet brand and model has a different visor shape and curvature. Tear offs are manufactured to match the exact profile of a specific visor — a Schuberth tear off will not fit a Bell or Stilo visor. Always select the tear off that matches your exact helmet model.
What is the difference between Racing Optics and Clear Track tear offs for Schuberth helmets?
Both are premium laminated tear off systems. Racing Optics XStack uses optical-grade Mylar film for maximum light transmission. Clear Track is NZ-made with squared tabs and larger pull holes optimised for thumb-only removal. Contact Harris Race Radios for advice on which suits your racing environment best.
How many tear offs are in a sleeve?
Each sleeve contains 3 stacks of 10 tear offs — 30 total. Ideal for speedway and endurance events where multiple visor changes are needed.
