Quick Summary: The Roux R1-F SA2025 is an Italian-made fiberglass motorsport helmet — designed by Pininfarina, the legendary design house behind Ferrari, Maserati, and Alfa Romeo — featuring integrated radio comms with noise-cancelling microphone and speaker pods, a quick-disconnect drink tube, pre-installed HANS anchors, dual-action centre-lock visor latch, and Snell SA2025 certification. Approved for MSNZ and Motorsport Australia sanctioned events including Speedway, MEGA, endurance, circuit racing, rally, and karting.
SA2025 Rated. Designed by Pininfarina. Made in Italy. Priced for Real Racers.
The Roux by Pininfarina R1-F SA2025 is the helmet serious Speedway, MEGA, and Endurance racers have been waiting for — Italian-designed, Italian-made, and priced to actually be accessible. When Pininfarina put their name on something, it means something: this is the same design house responsible for some of the most iconic Ferraris, Maseratis, and Alfa Romeos ever built. That heritage doesn't stay in the boardroom — it shows up in every curve, every material choice, and every detail of the R1-F.
Designed by Pininfarina. Made in Italy. Not Made in China.
In a market flooded with helmets manufactured in China and badged with European-sounding names, the Roux R1-F SA2025 is the real thing. Designed and handcrafted in Italy by Pininfarina — one of the most respected names in automotive and motorsport design on the planet.
Pininfarina's design legacy includes:
- Ferrari 308, 328, 348, 355, 360, F430, 458, and countless other iconic Ferraris
- Maserati GranTurismo and Quattroporte
- Alfa Romeo Spider and numerous other Italian classics
When you put on a Roux R1-F, you're wearing a helmet conceived by the same minds that shaped some of the greatest cars in motorsport history. The fiberglass shell is hand-laid — not injection-moulded — delivering a strength-to-weight ratio and finish quality that mass-produced helmets simply cannot match.
Italian quality. Accessible price. No compromises on where it's made.
R1-F or R1-N — Which Roux Helmet Do You Need?
Roux make two versions of the R1 SA2025. The difference is simple:
- R1-F (Full Comms) — this helmet — built-in noise-cancelling microphone and speaker pods. The right choice for any driver running a radio or intercom system. If you race Speedway, MEGA, endurance, rally, circuit, or any event where you communicate with your crew or co-driver, the R1-F is the one you want.
- R1-N (No Comms) — identical helmet without the comms hardware. Only choose the R1-N if you are certain you will never run a radio or intercom. Most drivers who think they don't need comms end up wishing they had them — the R1-F gives you that option from day one.
If in doubt, choose the R1-F. Contact Aaron Harris on +64 27 449 9654 if you're unsure which is right for your setup.
The Speedway, MEGA & Endurance Helmet
Speedway, MEGA, and Endurance racing demand a helmet that can handle heat, long sessions, and constant communication with your team. The R1-F SA2025 delivers:
- Built-in communications system — fully compatible with intercom and radio setups. Stay in contact with your crew throughout every heat, feature, and endurance session
- Built-in drink system — stay hydrated through long Speedway nights, MEGA events, and endurance races without removing your helmet
- Lightweight fiberglass shell — reduces fatigue during extended racing programmes
- Excellent ventilation — keeps you cool during hot Speedway, MEGA, and Endurance conditions
- Premium Italian comfort lining — all-night wearability
SA2025 Homologation — Approved for MSNZ & Motorsport Australia Events
The SA2025 rating is the latest Snell Memorial Foundation standard for motorsport helmets, offering improved impact protection over SA2020. The Roux R1-F SA2025 is fully SA2025 certified and approved for use at MSNZ and Motorsport Australia sanctioned events — including circuit racing, rally, speedway, karting, endurance, MEGA, and Lemons. Future-proof your helmet purchase today.
