  • Standard shipping is $14 NZD, including helmets. Any separate rates for seats or trolleys are shown at checkout.

Australia:

  • Shipping is calculated from the combined estimated shipping weight of the items in your basket. Your rate is shown in AUD at checkout.
  • Orders over 20kg require a separately priced freight quote before purchase. Please contact HRR.
  • OMP seats and trolleys are available for New Zealand delivery only.
  • Delivered by Asendia, DHL Express or FedEx.

AiM MyChron 5 External Power Cable

This genuine AiM cable connects to the EXP/CAN port on the back of your MyChron 5, allowing the unit to be powered from a 12V battery instead of its internal rechargeable battery.

If you're running the MyChron 5 on external power full-time, you can also fit the MyChron 5 Battery Blanking Cover (screws included) to neatly cover the back of the unit where the rechargeable battery would normally sit.

Before ordering

  • Confirm your kart or car has a suitable 12V source to wire into.
  • Route the cable away from heat, abrasion, and moving components.
  • Decide whether you want the battery blanking cover as well if you're removing the rechargeable battery permanently.

External Power Cable FAQ

What does this cable connect to?

It plugs into the EXP/CAN port on the back of the MyChron 5 and wires through to a 12V battery, so the unit runs on car or kart power instead of its internal battery.

Do I still need the rechargeable battery?

No, once wired to external power the internal battery isn't required, though you can keep it fitted as a backup if you prefer.

What is the Battery Blanking Cover for?

It's an optional cover that screws over the back of the MyChron 5 where the rechargeable battery normally sits, giving a clean, sealed finish if you've removed the battery permanently.
