Insertion and Care

Insert the tip perpendicular to the tread. Angled insertion can damage or break the tip. Keep the probe and gauge away from direct sunlight, engines, heaters and other heat sources or strong thermal gradients that can affect readings. Let the temperature settle before recording it.
