Genuine Bell visor tear offs are precision-fit for Bell helmet visors and help drivers maintain clear vision when rain, mud, stone chips, dust, insects or rubber debris build up during a race. Bell tear offs are visor-specific, so select the option that matches your exact Bell visor profile.

Why use visor tear offs?

A tear off is a clear film layer mounted over the outside of the visor. When the surface becomes contaminated, the driver pulls the tab and removes one layer to reveal a clean surface underneath, without reaching up to wipe the visor during a session.

Tear offs are especially useful in speedway, dirt track, off-road and open-wheel circuit racing, where the driver can be exposed to debris from the track surface and other cars. They are lightweight and low-profile, but each layer is used once.

Tear offs vs roll offs

  • Tear offs use individual film layers stacked on the visor. They are simple, lightweight and low-profile, and work well when a pit crew or co-driver can reload the visor, or when a set number of clear layers is enough for the race distance.
  • Roll offs use a continuous film on a spool mechanism. They suit endurance events or disciplines where the driver needs repeated clearing without stopping to reload individual layers.

Each Bell visor profile uses a different tear-off shape. Using the wrong model can leave gaps, reduce coverage or prevent the mounting points from aligning correctly. Use this guide before ordering:

SE077 fitment note: SE077 tear offs are shorter to suit the HP77's smaller visor aperture. They physically fit SE07 helmets but cover a smaller area. Use SE07 tear offs for RS7, KC7 and HP7 helmets when full coverage is required. Bell visor tear-off mounting points are designed for the pull tabs to remain accessible, including when wearing gloves.

Why do tear offs only fit specific helmet models?

Every helmet brand and model has a different visor shape and curvature. Tear offs are made to match the exact profile of a specific visor. A Bell SE07 tear off is shaped differently from a Bell SE06, and neither is designed for a Stilo or Schuberth visor. Select the tear off that matches your exact helmet model.

Which tear off do I need for my Bell RS7?

The RS7 uses the SE07 tear off. SE07 is available in packs of 10, 12 or 30. The 30-pack, supplied as three stacks of 10, is useful for endurance and speedway events where multiple visor changes are expected.

Can I use SE077 tear offs on my SE07 helmet?

Yes, but SE077 tear offs are shorter to suit the HP77's smaller aperture, so they cover a smaller area on an SE07 visor. Use SE07 tear offs for RS7, KC7 and HP7 helmets when full visor coverage is required.
