AiM IR Tyre Temperature Sensor Kit for MyChron 5

The AiM IR Tyre Temperature Sensor Kit uses four infrared sensors to measure the surface temperature of the tyres. The data can help with chassis tuning, tyre-use decisions, and understanding driver behaviour when the complete system is installed and configured correctly.

The kit includes an Infrared Temperature Controller required to connect the sensors to a MyChron 5. The MyChron 5 can display and store the sampled data for later analysis.

  • Confirm the controller connection, 0–5 V signal wiring, MyChron 5 compatibility, and channel configuration before use.
  • Check the readings against the actual tyre and track conditions during commissioning.
