This genuine AiM RPM Coil Adaptor connects a coil or non-square wave RPM signal to a compatible AiM Dash System (such as MXm, MXS, or MXG). It's sold and supported by Harris Race Radios as AiM's motorsport data specialists in New Zealand and Australia.

RPM Coil Adaptor FAQ

What does the RPM Coil Adaptor do?

Many ignition coils output a raw, non-square wave signal that an AiM Dash System can't read directly for RPM. This adaptor conditions that signal into a clean square wave the dash can log and display accurately.

How do I know if I need this adaptor?

If your engine's RPM reading on the AiM Dash System is erratic, missing, or reads far outside the expected range when taken straight from the coil, a coil signal adaptor is usually the fix. Engines with points-style or older analogue ignitions are the most common case.

Is this a sensor or data logger?

No. It's a passive signal-conditioning accessory sitting between the coil and the dash's RPM input; it doesn't record or display anything itself.

Does this work with AiM EVO systems too?

No. This version is wired for AiM Dash Systems. A separate, differently wired adaptor is listed for AiM EVO systems — check you're ordering the right one for your logger.

Can Harris Race Radios confirm compatibility before I order?
