Frequently Asked Questions

What cable does this connector suit?
This connector is designed for RG58 coaxial cable only. It will not fit RG213, RG8X, or other cable diameters without modification.

Is this the same as a UHF or PL-259 connector?
No. N-Type and UHF (PL-259) are different connector standards. N-Type offers better performance at VHF and UHF frequencies and is used on specific Rugged Radios antenna meters and assemblies. If you need a PL-259, see our UHF connector range.

Do I need any special tools to fit this connector?
A coaxial cable stripper and crimp tool suited to RG58 are recommended for a clean, low-loss termination. Contact us if you need advice on tooling or assembly.

Does this come with a warranty?
