INEOS Grenadier UHF CB Mobile Radio Kit — RDM-DB

A Grenadier-specific mobile-radio setup for NZ and AU overland, convoy and off-road communication. This Harris Race Radios™ configuration replaces the US source kit’s locked GMRS radio with an RDM-DB CB radio. Confirm the exact locally certified radio and programming for the country of operation before transmitting.

Planned kit components

  • RDM-DB mobile CB radio in place of the US kit’s G1, G4 or GMR25 GMRS radio options.
  • Grenadier-specific interior mobile-radio mounting solution.
  • Vehicle-specific aerial mount intended for a clean installation around the vehicle’s accessories.
  • 13 ft (approximately 4 m) heavy-duty antenna cable with nickel-plated brass NMO mount, as specified for the source kit.
  • Rugged 12.5-inch UHF antenna used with this Grenadier CB configuration. As confirmed by Harris Race Radios™, the same antenna can be used for the nearby GMRS and UHF CB frequencies; the radio itself must still be the appropriate locally suitable CB unit.

Vehicle fit

Based on the source kit for INEOS Grenadier 2022 onward. Confirm the exact vehicle year, interior layout, roof rack or tent, bull bar, antenna clearance, bracket fit and cable route. The original source says all trims and no-cut installation, but those claims still need checking with the RDM-DB configuration; they are not guaranteed here.

NZ and AU radio selection

GMRS is a US radio service and its locked radios cannot be reprogrammed for local UHF CB. This kit uses an RDM-DB CB radio in place of the US GMRS radio; the antenna remains usable for the CB configuration according to Harris Race Radios™. CB is on UHF; a VHF-only radio cannot be programmed onto CB. Harris Race Radios™ can also provide authorised private channels and program appropriate radios for those frequencies, but that is a separate configuration. Check the exact radio’s physical certification, programming and applicable operating rules for New Zealand or Australia. Purchasers of unprogrammed radios are responsible for lawful configuration and operation.
