The Bell HP6 FIA8860 -2018 Carbon Helmet is an ultra-lightweight professional-level helmet designed specifically for closed cockpit racing, combining advanced carbon fibre construction with exceptional visibility, comfort and impact protection. Developed to FIA 8860-2018 standards, the HP6 Carbon delivers the premium performance and safety demanded by serious motorsport competitors.

The Bell HP6 RD Carbon Helmet is a premium ultra-lightweight carbon fibre helmet developed specifically for closed cockpit racing, combining professional-level protection, expanded visibility and an integrated communication system for drivers who demand maximum performance on track.

Built around an advanced FIA 8860-2018 approved full carbon shell, the HP6 RD Carbon delivers exceptional strength while keeping overall weight extremely low to help reduce neck fatigue during long race stints. The lightweight construction allows drivers to remain more comfortable and focused throughout demanding sessions while maintaining the highest levels of safety.

A wide SE06 eyeport visor opening provides an expanded field of vision for improved peripheral awareness inside closed cockpit race cars. The larger aperture helps drivers better monitor apexes, traffic and cockpit surroundings with less head movement and greater confidence.

The helmet features a fully integrated ZeroNoise communication system, including a professional noise-cancelling microphone mounted to the chin bar, RCA connections for in-ear speakers and a coiled communication cable fitted with a heavy-duty Nexus connector. This integrated system delivers clear and reliable driver-to-pit communication even in high-noise race environments.

An integrated hydration tube with quick-release connector is also built into the helmet, providing a clean and convenient connection to external drink systems for endurance racing and long sessions.

Inside the helmet, a sophisticated multi-density, multi-piece liner system is engineered to absorb and manage impact energy efficiently across varying loads, delivering excellent protection and long-duration comfort.

Bell’s advanced ‘Smartlock’ visor locking mechanism securely locks the visor closed during racing and impact situations while still allowing quick and simple one-handed operation when required.

Strategically positioned extraction vents improve airflow and cooling throughout the helmet, while optional forced-air intake kits can be fitted to the left or right side to connect external cooling systems for improved driver comfort in extreme conditions.

The internal layout is also compatible with optional ZeroNoise padded ear cups (sold separately), allowing drivers to further reduce cockpit noise levels for improved communication clarity and concentration.

Factory-installed FHR / HANS anchors are included as standard, providing secure and straightforward connection to your head and neck restraint system.

Each helmet is supplied complete with a premium HP helmet bag featuring a durable outer shell and soft fleece-lined interior to help protect the helmet during transport and storage.

Custom Interior Colours:
Previously available only to professional factory drivers, the HP6 RD Carbon can now be ordered with optional custom interior lining colours for a small additional cost. Standard helmets are supplied with a grey interior, while optional colours include:

Please note: Helmets ordered with customised interior colours are considered special-order items and are non-returnable. A 100% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of order. Please allow approximately 7–8 weeks lead time for all custom interior orders.

Sizing Note:
This helmet range includes a 61+ shell size, designed to fit approximately 0.5cm larger than a standard size 61 helmet for improved comfort and fitment.
