AiM Solo 2 DL RPM & External Power Lead

This genuine AiM lead provides RPM input and external power connection for the AiM Solo 2 DL, allowing continuous power from the vehicle's 12V supply alongside RPM signal logging. It's sold and supported by Harris Race Radios as AiM's motorsport data specialists in New Zealand and Australia.

Before ordering

  • Confirm the vehicle's 12V power source and RPM signal source are compatible with this lead.
  • Route the cable away from heat, abrasion, steering movement, and other moving components.
  • Test RPM readings and power delivery before relying on the device for setup or competition.

RPM & External Power Lead FAQ

What does this lead do?

It supplies external 12V power to the Solo 2 DL so it doesn't rely on internal battery life, and it feeds an RPM signal into the unit for engine-speed logging and shift-light functions.

Does the Solo 2 DL need this lead?

Only if you want continuous external power for long sessions or endurance events, and if you're logging RPM from a source that isn't already coming through the ECU connection. If your Solo 2 DL is already reading RPM over CAN from the ECU, you may not need the RPM side of this lead.

Can I use just the power side without the RPM connection?

Yes, the lead can be wired for power only if RPM is already supplied another way, but confirm this with us first so the unused RPM wire is terminated safely.

Can Harris Race Radios confirm compatibility before I order?

Yes. Our team fits Solo 2 DL systems regularly and can confirm the right wiring approach for your vehicle and ECU in New Zealand and Australia.
