This is not an off-the-shelf radio package. The Motorola DP3400 race radio kit has been configured, wired, and tested by Rex and Aaron Harris — New Zealand and Australia's most experienced motorsport radio engineers. Rex Harris is a qualified Radio Telecommunications Engineer and Approved Radio Certifier for both NZ RSM and AU ACMA, with motorsport radio experience since 1975 starting at the Marlboro Series Grand Prix. Aaron Harris is an active racing driver and race engineer — Barcelona 24 Hour 1st in class 2013, Bathurst 1000 and 12 Hour competitor, BMW Race Driver Series Champion 2011, race engineer for Earl Bamber Motorsport, TekworkX, Matt Stone Racing, Porsche Carrera Cup Australia/Asia-Pacific/NZ, and MSNZ Licence Examiner for helmets, racewear, FHR, and HANS. Every component in this system — from the Harris-made wiring harness and aerial to the noise-cancelling pit headset — is selected and assembled from real on-track experience at the highest level of motorsport.
