AiM MyChron EGT T12 Fine-Tip Sensor
The AiM MyChron EGT T12 Fine-Tip Sensor is a K-type thermocouple for compatible exhaust-gas-temperature measurement with an AiM logger. It is installed in the exhaust header pipe using a suitable bung fitting, which is available separately.
Short-life, high-performance item: this fine-tip sensor is not recommended for long-term use with a kart engine because the tip is likely to fail. There is no warranty on this item. Treat it as a performance consumable and inspect it regularly.

Installation and care
- Use a suitable exhaust bung and install the probe where it can measure a representative exhaust-gas temperature.
- Keep the probe and wiring clear of moving, hot, or abrasive components beyond the intended measurement point.
- Inspect the fine tip, cable, connector, and bung after each session.
- Replace the sensor if the tip is damaged, readings become implausible, or the wiring shows heat or mechanical damage.
- Allow the exhaust system to cool before inspection or removal.
Installation should be completed by someone familiar with kart exhaust systems, thermocouple wiring, heat management, and the connected AiM logger.
