Upgrading from ST5 to ST6
If your ST5 is approaching the end of its service life or you are looking to upgrade, the Stilo ST6 is the natural successor — lighter, with improved aerodynamics, better electronics integration, and current FIA 8859-2024 and FIA 8860-2018 homologation.
- ST6 is lighter than ST5 by approximately 200–300g (carbon variant)
- ST6 GT has integrated sideports — the only helmet on the market with this feature
- ST6 carries FIA 8859-2024 — the current standard for all NZ and AU series
- Full electronics and intercom compatibility with all current Stilo intercom systems including DG-20 and DG WL-10

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Stilo ST5 still FIA homologated?
ST5 helmets homologated to FIA 8859-2015 expired at the end of 2023 for FIA competitions. If your ST5 carries FIA 8859-2015 only, it is no longer valid for FIA-sanctioned events. Check the homologation sticker inside your helmet and verify against the official FIA homologation list. Contact Aaron Harris (MSNZ licence examiner) if you need compliance advice.
Can I still use my ST5 for club racing in NZ or AU?
This depends on your specific series regulations. Some club series may still accept FIA 8859-2015 helmets — check with your series organiser or MSNZ/Motorsport Australia before competing. Contact us for advice.
Do you stock ST5 parts for all variants?
We stock parts for the ST5 F, ST5 FN, and ST5 F Offshore. Contact us with your specific helmet model and serial number and we will confirm availability.
Can I retrofit ST6 electronics into my ST5?
No — ST5 and ST6 electronics are not interchangeable. We stock genuine ST5 electronics kits for existing owners.
Do you ship ST5 parts to Australia?
Yes — we ship fast across New Zealand and Australia with tracked delivery.
