Plan your setup
Depending on the selected listing, you may need a locally certified CB radio, aerial and mount, compatible radio bracket, suitable cabling and connectors, or an intercom for in-vehicle communication. Check the individual product for exactly what is included. Bracket fit depends on the Toyota model, year and aftermarket accessories; connector fit depends on the selected radio and aerial. An aerial mount alone does not establish radio compatibility or legal operation.
NZ and AU radio guidance
US-programmed and GMRS radios are not legal to operate in New Zealand or Australia. Do not treat a US off-road GMRS radio as a locally certified UHF CB radio. Choose an NZ- or AU-certified CB radio appropriate to your country, which Harris Race Radios™ supplies. Rex Harris is an official New Zealand RSM Approved Radio Certifier and also has an Australian ACMA radio-certifier role. Ask him to check the exact radio model, certification, frequency and programming for the jurisdiction and intended use. No blanket approval applies to every Rugged Radios system.

Which aerial mount suits my LandCruiser or HiLux?
It depends on your model, year, bull bar, tray and preferred antenna position. Contact Rex or Aaron with those details to check a suitable bracket and connector.
Does every Toyota kit include a radio and aerial mount?
No. Some listings are mounts or other components only. Check the selected product's contents before ordering.
Are all the radios in Toyota kits UHF CB legal in NZ and AU?
No. US-programmed and GMRS radios are not legal to operate locally. We supply NZ- and AU-certified CB radios; ask Rex to identify an appropriate radio and check the exact setup for your country.
Do I need an intercom?
An intercom supports in-vehicle conversation separately from a two-way radio. The right choice depends on the vehicle, noise level and who needs to communicate.
