The Stilo ST6 F Rally Carbon Helmet is built for the demands of rally competition — a lightweight PURO carbon fibre shell certified to FIA 8859-2024 and Snell SA2025, with Stilo's full WRC rally electronics built in, noise-reducing rally ear cups, adjustable microphone, and factory-fitted HANS posts. Launched for 2025 following two hugely successful generations of Stilo full-face rally helmet, the ST6 Rally delivers noticeable improvements in comfort, weight, visibility, and safety. If you are competing in rally or stage events in NZ or Australia, this is the benchmark carbon rally helmet.

Looking for a composite shell? See the Venti4 WRC Composite — full WRC comms in a composite shell. For an open-face rally helmet with sun peak, see the Venti4 WRC Carbon.

Technical Specifications

Shell — PURO Carbon Fibre

The ST6 F Rally Carbon uses Stilo's proprietary PURO carbon fibre manufacturing process — a specialised layup technique that produces a flawless shell finish directly from the mould, eliminating the need for traditional clear coats, lacquers, or heavy fillers. The ST6 8859 carbon shell is built on the experience of the previous model across all levels of motorsport and rallying.

Why it matters: Conventional carbon helmets require a lacquer or filler layer to achieve a smooth finish, adding weight that serves no structural purpose. PURO removes this entirely. On long rally stages, even small reductions in helmet weight directly reduce neck muscle fatigue and strain — a measurable performance and safety benefit.

Weight

From approximately 1,230 g (small shell, shell size dependent). Up to 10% lighter than the previous ST5 R Carbon. Larger shell sizes will be marginally heavier.

Why it matters: Rally stages can run for extended periods with sustained vibration and G-forces. A lighter helmet reduces neck fatigue and improves co-driver concentration on pacenotes — critical for stage safety and performance.

Certifications — FIA 8859-2024 & Snell SA2025 (Dual Homologated)

FIA 8859-2024 is the current FIA homologation standard for rally helmets, replacing FIA 8859-2015. It introduces more stringent impact attenuation, penetration resistance, and retention system testing than its predecessor.

Snell SA2025 is the current Snell Memorial Foundation standard for automotive racing helmets, involving independent third-party testing without manufacturer involvement.

Why dual certification matters: Most helmets carry one standard. The ST6 F Rally Carbon carries both — future-proofing your investment as series regulations transition through 2025–2027.

Shell Construction

Three shell sizes cover the full size range (XS through XXXL), including a new medium shell designed to fit the majority of drivers in the 59–61cm range — ensuring optimised shell geometry for each head size.

WRC Rally Electronics

The ST6 Rally models are supplied with Stilo WRC rally electronics built in — adjustable dynamic noise-cancelling microphone and rally ear cups with a female Stilo Nexus connection, suitable for use with Stilo WRC wireless (WL-10, WL-Key) and wired DG/WRC intercoms. Crystal-clear stage communications in even the noisiest rally cockpits.

Visor

New adjustable short sunshade visor. Increased downward field of view through a cut bottom visor aperture — drivers and co-drivers benefit from improved visibility of the dashboard, pacenotes, and car controls. A full new range of accessories exclusive to the ST6, including tinted short visors, is available as extra options.

Ventilation & Padding

Advanced air channels in the chin bar and top of the shell provide better breathability, reducing sweat, moisture, and heat build-up. New comfort padding designed for a better fit and improved stability — completely new linings with improved interlocking around the cheek and chin pad area for better usability. Customisable with different thickness options (available separately).

Cable & Systems Routing

Redesigned routing within the padding for the optional quick-release integrated drinks kit, radio cable routing, and cold air system. New easy-to-use padding channels for better routing of drinks or forced air systems.

Additional Features

Factory-fitted FHR / HANS posts included as standard. Drinks system ready — prepared for hydration tube integration. The ST6 Rally is customisable in-store for a bespoke helmet fit at Harris Race Radios.

Sizes Available

XS (54), S (55), M (57), L (58), L (59), XL (61), XXL (63), XXXL (64). If you are between sizes or unsure, contact Aaron Harris — MSNZ Licence Examiner for helmets, he fits helmets regularly and can advise on correct sizing for your head shape.

Audio Connector — How It Works

The ST6 F Rally Carbon uses Stilo's proprietary EzyFlow audio connector. Select your audio connector option on this page. Harris Race Radios fits your chosen connector directly to the helmet before dispatch.

Motorsport helmet audio connector comparison — EarMuff, Stilo Connector, 3.5mm Mono, RCA

  • EarMuff / Speakers — Large padded ear cups with built-in speakers. Best for noisy environments — rally, circuit, and off-road. Provides passive noise isolation alongside clear audio. Most popular for rally intercom and radio use in loud cockpits.
  • Stilo Earbud Connector — Stilo's proprietary push-lock connector, exclusive to Stilo helmets. Not compatible with third-party earpieces without an adapter.
  • 3.5mm Mono Connector — The most widely used audio connector in NZ, Australia, and the USA. Compatible with the majority of aftermarket earpieces and radio setups. The go-to choice for non-Stilo custom earpieces.
  • RCA Connector — Predominantly used in European race teams and systems. Check your audio input type before selecting.

Not sure which connector suits your setup? Contact us and we'll match you to the right option.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the ST6 F Rally Carbon legal for MSNZ and Motorsport Australia rally events?
Yes — FIA 8859-2024 and Snell SA2025 certified. Accepted by MSNZ and Motorsport Australia for rally and stage events. Always verify current series regulations with your organiser.

Does this helmet work with my Stilo WL wireless intercom?
Yes — the ST6 F Rally Carbon is fully compatible with the Stilo WL-10 and WL-Key wireless systems, as well as wired DG and WRC series intercoms via the female Stilo Nexus connection.

Does this helmet include HANS posts?
Yes — factory-fitted FHR / HANS posts are included as standard.

What is the difference between the ST6 F Rally Carbon and the Venti4 WRC Carbon?
Both are carbon rally helmets with full WRC comms. The ST6 F Rally Carbon has a closed-face circuit-style shell with a short sunshade visor. The Venti4 WRC Carbon has an open-face design with a sun peak and retractable short visor, preferred by many rally drivers for visibility and airflow on stages.

What is PURO technology?
PURO is Stilo's proprietary carbon fibre manufacturing process. It produces a flawless shell finish from the mould, eliminating clear coats and fillers — removing non-structural weight and reducing neck strain over long rally stages.

How do I choose the right size?
Measure the widest circumference of your head above the ears in centimetres. When in doubt, size down — racing helmets should fit firmly with no movement. Contact Aaron Harris — MSNZ Licence Examiner for helmets — for sizing advice based on your head shape.

Is the ST6 F Rally Carbon legal for Motorsport Australia (CAMS) events?
Yes — FIA 8859-2024 homologation accepted by Motorsport Australia for rally and stage events.

Do you hold stock in NZ and ship to Australia?
Yes — NZ stock held locally for fast dispatch. Australian orders ship with tracked courier.
