Roux helmet adapter for older and blue Mono receivers

Connect a compatible Roux helmet to the receiver or transceiver connection that matches your motorsport setup. This product has two connection options: 3.5 mm Mono and 2-pin Kenwood or Rugged Radios.

Choose the correct connection

  • 3.5 mm Mono: for compatible Roux helmet connections to older and blue one-way receivers that use a 3.5 mm Mono connection, including compatible 2K Cup and Lemons receiver setups.
  • 2-pin Kenwood or Rugged Radios: for compatible Roux helmet connections to Kenwood or Rugged Radios transceivers and communication systems using the matching 2-pin connector.

Confirm the helmet connector, receiver or transceiver model and audio format before ordering. This is an adapter cable only; it does not include a radio, receiver or helmet.

Important Mono and Stereo fitment

The 3.5 mm option on this product is Mono. It is intended for compatible older and blue Mono receivers, not as a direct Nitro Bee Stereo connection. For Nitro Bee and other Stereo systems, use the separate Roux 3.5mm Stereo adapter or the correct Stereo-to-Mono adapter where a Mono component is required.

Mono and Stereo connections are not interchangeable without the correct equipment or adapter. Confirm the exact receiver model and audio arrangement before ordering.

Motorsport applications

This adapter is intended for compatible Roux helmet setups used with older and blue receivers, 2K Cup, Lemons, circuit racing, rally, off-road and other motorsport where the helmet must connect to a Mono receiver or compatible transceiver.

Read the Race Radios™ monitoring and motorsport communications guide for receiver fitment, audio formats and professional motorsport communication systems.

Frequently asked questions

What connection options are available?

Choose either 3.5 mm Mono or 2-pin Kenwood or Rugged Radios, matching the connector and audio format required by your helmet and receiver or transceiver system.

Which option is for older and blue receivers?

Choose 3.5 mm Mono where the compatible older or blue receiver uses a 3.5 mm Mono connection.

Will the 3.5 mm Mono option work directly with Nitro Bee?

No. Nitro Bee systems use Stereo audio. Use the separate Roux 3.5mm Stereo adapter or the correct Stereo-to-Mono adapter where required by your setup.

Which option is for Kenwood or Rugged Radios transceivers?

Choose 2-pin Kenwood or Rugged Radios when your compatible transceiver uses the matching 2-pin connection.

Does this product include a radio?

No. This product is an adapter cable only. The Roux helmet, receiver, transceiver or intercom is selected separately.

Is this a two-way radio cable?

No. The adapter provides a compatible helmet connection; it does not itself create a transmitting or two-way radio system.
