Australian Radio Licensing — What You Need to Know

Australian UHF CB operation depends on using suitable locally compliant equipment and permitted channels and power under the applicable ACMA rules. Other frequencies and use cases can require authorisation. Rex Harris's official RSM Approved Radio Certifier role is a New Zealand radio qualification; contact us for help checking the exact equipment and Australian operating requirements. GMRS is not an Australian radio service and US-programmed and GMRS radios are not legal for operation in Australia.
