Why 2-inch Webbing?
2" webbing fits entirely within the Iliac Crest of the pelvis, where 3" webbing rides over the tips of the crest. This means the 2" belt can be worn up to 1–2" tighter, is more comfortable, and is less likely to cause submarining — where the body slides below the lap belt causing internal organ damage. All webbing (2" or 3") meets the same FIA load tests.
