Choose Your Radio

Select UHF CB Band or Business VHF Band. Note: radios are not waterproof — mount in a protected location away from direct water exposure.

• UHF CB — RDM-DB — 80 channel, no licence required in NZ or AU, works with all UHF CB radios on the same channel. Most popular choice for recreational and club use.
• VHF Business Band — M1 — recommended for business and race applications where a specific frequency is assigned. Not sure which is right for you? Learn more here.

NZ & AU Compliance — Important

• UHF CB (RDM-DB): Licence-free in NZ and AU — the correct standard for recreational off-road use.
• VHF (M1): Requires a Radio licence in NZ and AU.
• USA GMRS radios: Illegal in NZ and AU — GMRS frequencies cannot be reprogrammed to UHF CB.

What is the difference between the dash mount and glove box mount kits?

This kit mounts the intercom and radio through the dash panel. The glove box mount version uses the glove box area instead. Both provide a factory fit and finish — the right choice depends on your cab layout and preference.

Do I need a licence for the UHF CB radio?

No — UHF CB (RDM-DB) is licence-free in both NZ and Australia.

Are the radios waterproof?

No — mount the radio in a protected location inside the cab, away from direct water exposure.
