Plan the complete setup
Depending on the selected product, a system may require an intercom, radio, compatible aerial, bracket, headset or helmet kit, wiring and connectors. Check each listing for its actual contents; do not assume that every kit includes a radio or aerial mount, or that it installs without modification. Match connector type, bracket dimensions and cage geometry to your vehicle before ordering.
NZ and AU radio guidance
US-programmed and GMRS radios are not legal to operate in New Zealand or Australia. A US off-road GMRS kit is not an NZ/AU UHF CB system. For local use, choose an NZ- or AU-certified CB radio appropriate to your country, which Harris Race Radios™ supplies. Rex Harris is an official New Zealand RSM Approved Radio Certifier and also has an Australian ACMA radio-certifier role. Ask him to check the exact radio model, certification, frequencies, programming and intended use. A vehicle kit or brand name alone does not establish permission to operate; some race radios are not UHF CB radios.

Does every kit include an aerial mount?
No blanket inclusion is promised. Check the selected product listing for the included mount, aerial, cabling and connector type.
Are all Rugged Radios kits UHF CB legal in NZ and AU?
No. US-programmed and GMRS radios are not legal for local operation. We supply NZ- and AU-certified CB radios; ask Rex to check the exact model and identify the appropriate setup for your country and use.
Can I add Bluetooth music streaming?
Check whether the particular intercom offers Bluetooth and whether the selected kit includes it.
