Roux by Pininfarina Motorsport Helmets — Made in Italy
Harris Race Radios is the Authorised Australasian Distributor, Dealer and Importer for Roux Helmets — your direct NZ and AU source for genuine Italian-made Roux motorsport helmets.
Designed by Pininfarina. Made in Italy. Not Made in China.
In a market flooded with helmets manufactured in China and badged with European-sounding names, Roux is the real thing. Designed and handcrafted in Italy by Pininfarina — the legendary design house behind Ferrari, Maserati, and Alfa Romeo. Every Roux helmet shell is hand-laid fiberglass, not injection-moulded, delivering a strength-to-weight ratio and finish quality that mass-produced helmets at this price point simply cannot match.
At this price point, you simply cannot buy a better-made helmet. That's not a marketing claim — it's a genuine manufacturing difference that shows up in fit, finish, and shell quality.
SA2025 Certified — Approved for MSNZ & Motorsport Australia
The current Roux R1 range carries Snell SA2025 homologation — the latest and highest current Snell rating for motorsport helmets. SA2025 is approved for use at MSNZ and Motorsport Australia sanctioned events including Speedway, MEGA, circuit racing, rally, off-road, clubman motorsport, karting, and endurance racing.
Who Are Roux Helmets For?
Roux helmets are the ideal choice for entry-level and club motorsport competitors across all disciplines:
- ✅ Speedway — heats, features, and endurance nights
- ✅ MEGA Endurance Racing — long stints, team communication
- ✅ Circuit Racing & Clubman Motorsport — MSNZ and MA sanctioned events
- ✅ Rally — co-driver communication, FIA-approved events
- ✅ Off-Road — cross-country, desert racing, off-road endurance
- ✅ Karting — SA2025 approved for senior karting categories
- ✅ Endurance Racing — 24-hour, 12-hour, Lemons, and budget endurance events
R1-F or R1-N — Which Roux Helmet Do You Need?
Roux make two versions of the R1 SA2025. The difference is simple:
- R1-F (Full Comms) — built-in noise-cancelling microphone, speaker pods, drink tube, and HANS anchors pre-installed. The right choice for any driver running a radio or intercom system. If you race Speedway, MEGA, endurance, rally, or any event where you communicate with your crew, the R1-F is the one you want.
- R1-N (No Comms) — identical helmet without the comms hardware. Speaker-ready for one-way receive (NitroBee, Quin Tracks, GT Members). Choose the R1-N only if you are certain you will never run two-way radio or intercom.
If in doubt, choose the R1-F. Contact Aaron Harris on +64 27 449 9654 if you're unsure which is right for your setup.
